Yes — the central column is hand-carved from solid wood, finished by hand with a distressed patina. The carving and wood grain are genuine. The arms are wrought iron with a hand-applied finish that complements the wood column.
What bulb does it take? +
Each of the six arms takes one E12 (North America) or E14 (EU/UK/AU) candelabra bulb — the smaller socket size used in chandeliers and candle-style fixtures, not standard E26/E27. Up to 25W per socket. We recommend warm white (3000K) LED candelabra bulbs for the most period-appropriate glow. Bulbs not included.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo? +
The silhouette and finish character will match the photographs, but because both the wood patina and iron finish are hand-applied, the precise pattern of color and wear varies between units. Yours will be one-of-a-kind — intentional and part of the antique aesthetic.
Can the chain length be adjusted? +
The standard chain is 30 cm (12") and can be shortened on installation by removing links. For longer drops — vaulted ceilings, double-height rooms — please contact us before ordering to arrange a custom chain length.

Materials and care
Alabaster, marble & stone: dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners — they can etch or stain natural stone.
Brass & metal finishes: wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will strip the patina.
Fabric shades: spot clean only with a dry cloth.
Glass: apply a mild glass cleaner to a soft cloth, not directly to the fixture.
Always turn off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
Keep fixtures away from direct moisture unless the listing specifies it's rated for outdoor or wet locations.
Styling tips
Wall sconces: mount at 60–66″ from the floor to the center of the fixture; space paired sconces 24–30″ apart.
Pendants: hang 30–36″ above a table or counter surface, adjusting for ceiling height.
Chandeliers: as a general sizing guide, allow roughly 2.5–3″ of fixture width for every foot of room width.
Warmer bulb temperatures (2700K–3000K) bring out the tone in natural materials like alabaster and brass.
Pairing with a dimmer switch gives you more control over ambiance in living and dining spaces.
