A: The junction box for the Belfry wall sconce is normally located on the wall, as it is designed as a wall-mounted fixture. However, we can customize the junction box location to the ceiling if your project requires it. This allows for flexibility based on your specific installation needs.

Product features

  • Hand-finished in natural materials — alabaster, marble, brass, and blown glass — so slight variation in veining, grain, or patina between pieces is normal and expected.

Materials and care

  • Alabaster, marble & stone: dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners — they can etch or stain natural stone.
  • Brass & metal finishes: wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will strip the patina.
  • Fabric shades: spot clean only with a dry cloth.
  • Glass: apply a mild glass cleaner to a soft cloth, not directly to the fixture.
  • Always turn off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
  • Keep fixtures away from direct moisture unless the listing specifies it's rated for outdoor or wet locations.

Styling tips

  • Wall sconces: mount at 60–66″ from the floor to the center of the fixture; space paired sconces 24–30″ apart.
  • Pendants: hang 30–36″ above a table or counter surface, adjusting for ceiling height.
  • Chandeliers: as a general sizing guide, allow roughly 2.5–3″ of fixture width for every foot of room width.
