Hand-Blown Glass · Petal Form · Four Translucent Colourways
A sculptural sconce shaped by breath and hand — the Flower Glass body is hand-blown from a single mass of molten glass into a soft, petal-like form, then paired with slim metal hardware that all but disappears against the curve. When lit, the translucent glass glows from within: a warm, diffused colour-wash that turns hallways, bedside walls, and intimate corners into quietly atmospheric spaces. Available in four artisanal colourways — each piece carries the natural, unrepeatable variation of true mouth-blown glass.

FAQ
Is the glass actually hand-blown? +
Yes — every Flower Glass shade is mouth-blown by skilled glass artisans, not machine-pressed. As a result, each piece carries unique characteristics: subtle variations in wall thickness, slight asymmetry in the petal curve, and occasional small bubbles trapped in the glass. These are marks of authenticity, not defects, and they catch the light in ways uniform machine glass cannot.
How do the four colours look when lit vs unlit? +
The glass is translucent, so the colour reads differently lit vs unlit. Beige White — soft cream when off, gentle warm-white glow when lit. Green — sage tone when off, calm leaf-green glow when lit. Brown — smoked tea when off, deep amber-brown glow when lit. Amber — golden honey when off, rich glowing amber when lit. All four lean warm in feel.
Will my piece look exactly like the photos? +
The shape, colour, and dimensions will match — but because each shade is mouth-blown, expect subtle individual variation in glass thickness, surface texture, and tone gradient. Your piece will be visibly handmade, which is part of what distinguishes hand-blown glass from machine-made alternatives.
Which bulb do you recommend? +
A warm white (2700K) LED bulb in E26 or E27 base, at 4–6W. A frosted or globe-style bulb diffuses cleanly through the translucent glass. Avoid cool-white or daylight bulbs — they fight the warm-glass character and produce a flat, clinical light through coloured glass.
Is the lamp dimmable? +
Yes — paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (e.g. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora), the Flower Glass dims smoothly. Dimmed light is particularly atmospheric through coloured glass.
How do I clean the glass? +
Switch off the wall power and let the bulb cool. Wipe the glass gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth — avoid abrasive sponges and harsh chemicals. For interior dust, leave cleaning to the professional during bulb changes; the petal opening makes it tricky to reach inside without risk to the glass.
What if the glass arrives damaged? +
Hand-blown glass requires careful packaging and handling in transit. If your shade arrives chipped or cracked, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos — we will arrange a replacement promptly. Do not install a damaged shade.

Materials and care
Materials and care
- Alabaster, marble & stone: dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners — they can etch or stain natural stone.
- Brass & metal finishes: wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will strip the patina.
- Fabric shades: spot clean only with a dry cloth.
- Glass: apply a mild glass cleaner to a soft cloth, not directly to the fixture.
- Always turn off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
- Keep fixtures away from direct moisture unless the listing specifies it's rated for outdoor or wet locations.
Styling tips
Styling tips
- Wall sconces: mount at 60–66″ from the floor to the center of the fixture; space paired sconces 24–30″ apart.
- Pendants: hang 30–36″ above a table or counter surface, adjusting for ceiling height.
- Chandeliers: as a general sizing guide, allow roughly 2.5–3″ of fixture width for every foot of room width.
- Warmer bulb temperatures (2700K–3000K) bring out the tone in natural materials like alabaster and brass.
- Pairing with a dimmer switch gives you more control over ambiance in living and dining spaces.
