FAQ
What's the difference between Retro White and Smooth White? +
Retro White is a warm, cream-toned vintage white — slightly off-white with a hint of yellow undertone, pairing well with wood, brass, terracotta, and warm interiors. Smooth White is a crisp neutral white — clean and modern, pairing well with grey, chrome, black accents, and minimalist or Scandinavian interiors. Refer to the comparison image above before ordering.
Do I need to buy a bulb? +
No. The Danika has a built-in integrated LED — no bulb purchase, no replacement, no compatibility concerns. The LED is rated for long service life and ships ready to install.
What if the LED stops working? +
The integrated LED is built into the fixture and is rated for many years of typical use — most homeowners never need to think about it. In the rare event that the LED fails, please contact us directly and we will arrange a replacement service. We do not recommend self-repair, as the slim disc design is engineered around the integrated module.
Is the lamp dimmable? +
Integrated LED fixtures vary in dimming compatibility. The Danika works with most TRIAC dimmer switches, but we recommend testing with a dimmable-compatible wall switch (e.g. Lutron Diva LED+) before final installation. If smooth dimming is critical, please contact us before ordering for current compatibility details.
Can the hanging wire be shortened? +
Yes — the 59″ / 150 cm wire can be adjusted on-site during installation. Your electrician can shorten it to suit your ceiling height. We recommend 75–90 cm above an island or table for the best balance of light and clearance.
Where does the Danika work best? +
Excellent for: kitchen islands and breakfast bars (one or a row of three), small dining tables, entryway focal points, and bedside or hallway statement lighting. Its 30 cm diameter is compact enough to cluster — try three in a staggered line above a long island.
How do I clean the lamp? +
Switch off the wall power and let the fixture cool. Wipe the metal disc gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners that may dull the powder-coated finish. The Black finish hides dust well; the white finishes may need a wipe slightly more often in busy kitchens.

Product features
Product features
- Hand-finished in natural materials — alabaster, marble, brass, and blown glass — so slight variation in veining, grain, or patina between pieces is normal and expected.
- Hardwired or plug-in per listing; check the individual product page for the exact wiring type and included cord length.
- Compatible with standard dimmer switches unless the listing notes otherwise.
- Bulb base type (e.g. E12, E26) is listed on each product page; bulbs are not included unless stated.
- Select pieces are made to order — see the product page for current lead time before ordering.
Materials and care
Materials and care
- Alabaster, marble & stone: dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners — they can etch or stain natural stone.
- Brass & metal finishes: wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will strip the patina.
- Fabric shades: spot clean only with a dry cloth.
- Glass: apply a mild glass cleaner to a soft cloth, not directly to the fixture.
- Always turn off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
- Keep fixtures away from direct moisture unless the listing specifies it's rated for outdoor or wet locations.
Styling tips
Styling tips
- Wall sconces: mount at 60–66″ from the floor to the center of the fixture; space paired sconces 24–30″ apart.
- Pendants: hang 30–36″ above a table or counter surface, adjusting for ceiling height.
- Chandeliers: as a general sizing guide, allow roughly 2.5–3″ of fixture width for every foot of room width.
- Warmer bulb temperatures (2700K–3000K) bring out the tone in natural materials like alabaster and brass.
- Pairing with a dimmer switch gives you more control over ambiance in living and dining spaces.
