A wall sconce composed of two simple shapes — an oval natural-stone backplate and a
frosted white glass orb perched at one end. The geometry is deliberately quiet,
letting the natural variation in the stone do the visual work. Each backplate is cut
from genuine marble or travertine, hand-polished, and shaped into a softened
capsule-form profile.
The frosted glass orb diffuses the bulb into a soft glow that washes the stone surface
behind it, picking out the veining and tonal variation. Available in five distinct
natural stones — every piece is unique, and the photograph shows representative
examples rather than the exact marble you will receive.

Because each backplate is hand-cut from a unique natural slab, no two are alike —
even within the same stone color. After you order, we'll send photos of the slabs
we currently have available so you can choose your specific piece before we ship.
Place your order under this listing with your preferred stone color.
Within 1 business day, we'll email you photos of the available slabs in that color.
Reply with your preferred piece. We then begin final preparation and ship.
Each piece is unique. Because the backplate is cut from natural stone,
veining patterns, color intensity, and grain direction will vary widely between pieces —
even within the same color option. That singularity is the entire point of natural
stone, not a defect. The photographs are representative of each stone's overall
character.

actual slabs we have in stock within 1 business day. You pick the one you want, and
only then do we proceed to final preparation and shipping. If you have a preference
for lighter, darker, more or less veined, leave a note at checkout and we'll
prioritize matches.
What bulb does it take? +
One G9 LED bulb (not included). G9 is a small bi-pin base, common in compact
decorative fixtures and widely available at lighting suppliers. We recommend a
dimmable G9 LED up to 5W in warm white (3000K) for the best soft-glow effect through
the frosted glass orb.
Can I order it as a pair? +
Yes — this sconce is often installed in pairs flanking a bed, mirror, or doorway.
Just order two units in the same stone color. Note that because the natural stones
vary between pieces, a pair will share the same overall character but won't be
perfectly matched — for closer matching, leave a note at checkout requesting
coordinated slabs.
Can I install it in a bathroom? +
Yes — this lamp is well-suited to bathroom walls, particularly flanking a vanity
mirror. Because the backplate is natural porous stone, we recommend installing it
away from direct shower spray or steam concentration — not directly above a tub or
inside a wet zone. Standard ventilation and normal bathroom humidity are not a
concern.

Materials and care
Alabaster, marble & stone: dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners — they can etch or stain natural stone.
Brass & metal finishes: wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will strip the patina.
Fabric shades: spot clean only with a dry cloth.
Glass: apply a mild glass cleaner to a soft cloth, not directly to the fixture.
Always turn off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
Keep fixtures away from direct moisture unless the listing specifies it's rated for outdoor or wet locations.
Styling tips
Wall sconces: mount at 60–66″ from the floor to the center of the fixture; space paired sconces 24–30″ apart.
Pendants: hang 30–36″ above a table or counter surface, adjusting for ceiling height.
Chandeliers: as a general sizing guide, allow roughly 2.5–3″ of fixture width for every foot of room width.
Warmer bulb temperatures (2700K–3000K) bring out the tone in natural materials like alabaster and brass.
Pairing with a dimmer switch gives you more control over ambiance in living and dining spaces.
