Compact Companion to the Addison Series
Looking for the same vintage shade with an adjustable gooseneck arm? See the Addison version.
Antique Brass · Compact Wall Profile · Vintage Workshop · No Gooseneck
A compact vintage wall sconce built from solid brass — a turned circular backplate with an integrated swivel pivot, holding a turned brass cylindrical shade close against the wall. The shade hangs at a slight downward angle from the pivot, casting light onto the wall and floor below.
The compact 12.5 cm (4.9") backplate keeps the fixture's footprint small — designed for tight walls, narrow hallways, or anywhere you need vintage workshop character without the projection of a gooseneck arm. Hand-aged antique brass with turned details on the shade and backplate.

Finish
Antique Brass
Hand-aged warm brass with darker recesses in the turned details — pairs with cream walls, brick, oak, and traditional or workshop interiors. The patina develops gradually over years of use, deepening the antique character.

FAQ
What's the difference between this and the Addison version? +
Both lamps share the same antique-brass turned shade and backplate aesthetic. The Timarron (this listing) has a compact direct-mount profile — the shade sits close to the wall with no gooseneck arm. The Addison version adds a curved gooseneck arm with two adjustable pivot points, projecting the shade 14" from the wall and letting you aim the light up, down, or toward artwork. Choose Timarron for tight spaces and a quieter wall presence; choose Addison when you need adjustable task lighting. View the Addison version →
How far does it stick out from the wall? +
The total fixture height is 24.5 cm (9.6") and the wall projection is minimal compared to a gooseneck sconce — the shade hangs directly from the swivel pivot at the backplate. This makes it ideal for narrow hallways, tight stair landings, or walls where you can't accommodate the projection of an extended-arm sconce.
What bulb does it take? +
One E12 (North America) or E14 (EU/UK/AU) candelabra base bulb up to 25W. Because the shade is open at the bottom, the bulb is partially visible — vintage Edison-style filament E12/E14 bulbs work especially well, as do simple candelabra LED globes. Pick warm white (2700–3000K) for the most period-appropriate glow that complements the antique brass. Bulb is not included.
Can I order it as a pair? +
Yes — this sconce works beautifully in pairs flanking a doorway, mirror, or art piece. Just order two units. For matched-batch finish consistency on larger orders, contact us first — antique brass finishes can vary slightly between production batches.
Is it dimmable? +
The fixture itself doesn't dim, but it becomes fully dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED candelabra bulb and a standard TRIAC wall dimmer (both sold separately). Edison filament bulbs become especially atmospheric when dimmed — the warm filament glow turns more amber and candle-like.
Product features
Product features
- Hand-finished in natural materials — alabaster, marble, brass, and blown glass — so slight variation in veining, grain, or patina between pieces is normal and expected.
- Hardwired or plug-in per listing; check the individual product page for the exact wiring type and included cord length.
- Compatible with standard dimmer switches unless the listing notes otherwise.
- Bulb base type (e.g. E12, E26) is listed on each product page; bulbs are not included unless stated.
- Select pieces are made to order — see the product page for current lead time before ordering.
Materials and care
Materials and care
- Alabaster, marble & stone: dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners — they can etch or stain natural stone.
- Brass & metal finishes: wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will strip the patina.
- Fabric shades: spot clean only with a dry cloth.
- Glass: apply a mild glass cleaner to a soft cloth, not directly to the fixture.
- Always turn off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
- Keep fixtures away from direct moisture unless the listing specifies it's rated for outdoor or wet locations.
Styling tips
Styling tips
- Wall sconces: mount at 60–66″ from the floor to the center of the fixture; space paired sconces 24–30″ apart.
- Pendants: hang 30–36″ above a table or counter surface, adjusting for ceiling height.
- Chandeliers: as a general sizing guide, allow roughly 2.5–3″ of fixture width for every foot of room width.
- Warmer bulb temperatures (2700K–3000K) bring out the tone in natural materials like alabaster and brass.
- Pairing with a dimmer switch gives you more control over ambiance in living and dining spaces.
