Yes — the same fixture works as a wall sconce or as a surface-mounted ceiling spotlight. The head pivots on its brass knob, so you can aim the beam from either mounting orientation. A junction box is required either way.
Is a bulb included? +
No — bulbs are not included. The fixture takes a standard E26 (North America) or E27 (Europe / UK / AU) socket. We recommend an LED bulb of up to 25W in warm white (3000K) for residential installations. Bulbs are user-replaceable.
What color temperature should I choose? +
Color temperature is set by the bulb you install, not by the fixture. For bedrooms, living rooms, and art lighting, we recommend warm white (3000K). For task areas like workshops or kitchen accents, neutral white (4000K) gives a crisper, more focused light.
Is it dimmable? +
The fixture itself does not dim, but it becomes fully dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a standard TRIAC wall dimmer. Both are sold separately and available at any lighting supplier.
Will my lamp look exactly like the photo? +
No two travertine pieces are alike. The cylinder you receive will share the same warm beige tone and overall character as the photographs, but the specific veining, pore pattern, and tonal variation will be unique to your unit. This is intrinsic to natural stone — not a defect.
Where does it work best? +
Common installations include bedside reading lights, hallway accents, stair landings, and as a directional spotlight on artwork or feature walls. The compact 6.5 cm diameter and pivoting head make it well-suited to focused, accent lighting rather than ambient room illumination.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom? +
No — this fixture is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations only. Travertine is also a porous natural stone and will absorb moisture over time if installed in a damp environment. For bathrooms or outdoor use, please choose a fixture with an appropriate higher IP rating.

Materials and care
Alabaster, marble & stone: dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners — they can etch or stain natural stone.
Brass & metal finishes: wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will strip the patina.
Fabric shades: spot clean only with a dry cloth.
Glass: apply a mild glass cleaner to a soft cloth, not directly to the fixture.
Always turn off and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
Keep fixtures away from direct moisture unless the listing specifies it's rated for outdoor or wet locations.
Styling tips
Wall sconces: mount at 60–66″ from the floor to the center of the fixture; space paired sconces 24–30″ apart.
